FreeNSale offers two ways to sell locally.

Garage Sale Event

Best for garage sales with scheduled dates, times, and a physical location.

Use a Garage Sale Event when you want people to know:

• Where your sale will take place
• When it starts and ends
• What kinds of items you’ll have available

Perfect for neighborhood garage sales, moving sales, estate sales, and community sales.

Online Garage Sale

Best for selling or giving away items anytime, without scheduled dates or a physical sale event.

Create your own Online Garage Sale to organize everything you have for sale in one place. It stays online until you remove your items or mark them as sold.

Using Both Together

You can use both.

A Garage Sale Event helps promote your upcoming sale, while your Online Garage Sale lets you showcase items anytime.

The items in each don’t have to be the same—you decide what to include.

3. Create Listings That Sell

Create listings that help buyers quickly understand what you’re selling.

For the best results:

• Use clear, well-lit photos.
• Show each item from multiple angles.
• Write honest, detailed descriptions.
• Include the brand, size, age, and condition whenever possible.
• Price your items competitively by comparing similar listings nearby.

4. Free Stuff

Giving something away?

Simply mark an item as Free when adding it to your Online Garage Sale.

Your item will:

• Remain part of your Online Garage Sale
• Appear in the Free Stuff section
• Show up in search results when shoppers search for free items

This makes it easier for people looking specifically for free items to discover your listing.

5. Payment & Delivery Options

Tell buyers how you’d like to complete the sale.

Choose your preferred payment methods, such as:

• Cash
• Venmo
• Zelle
• PayPal

Then select your preferred delivery options, including:

• Local Pickup
• Local Delivery
• Shipping (if available)

These preferences help buyers know exactly how they can pay for and receive your items.

6. Communicating with Buyers

Respond to messages promptly and clearly.

Answer questions honestly and keep buyers informed if an item has been sold or is no longer available.
